A board-certified dermatologist and Virginia native, Dr. Bray received his medical degree (M.D.) from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico and completed his dermatology training at the National Capital Consortium of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He also holds a Bachelors degree in both in Biology and Spanish (B.S and B.A.) from Virginia Tech. Dr. Bray served as a physician in the U.S. Army for 8 years, including overseas tours in South Korea and Iraq. He worked as part of the teaching staff for the dermatology residency programs at Walter Reed and at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Since leaving the Army in 2009, Dr. Bray has been a dermatologist in private practice. He has repeatedly won prestigious awards such as The Doctor's Choice Award for "Top Dermatologists in the northern VA/ metro DC area," “Top Doc” in Washingtonion Magazine and Arlington Magazine, and “Top Dermatologist” by “Northern Virginia Top Docs” as voted by his peers.

Dr. Bray enjoys practicing all aspects of dermatology, with particular interest in skin cancer detection and treatment, psoriasis, acne, rheumatologic diseases affecting skin, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Bray is a certified physician provider of fillers, including Sculptra, Coolsculpting, Kybella, Sciton lasers and Broad Band Light.

He is an avid outdoors enthusiast, traveler, and lover of world foods and languages. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two active daughters.

Dr. David Bray

A board-certified dermatologist and Maryland native, Dr. Angela Hou received her medical degree (M.D.) from New York University and completed her dermatology training at the George Washington University. She also holds a Bachelors degree in both in Biology and Theatre (B.S and B.A.) from University of Maryland, College Park. 

Dr. Hou enjoys all interesting aspects of dermatology, particularly acne, eczema, rosacea, skin cancer, and cosmetic and surgical procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and cooking.


Dr. Angela Hou

A board-certified dermatologist and Maryland native, Dr. Nehal Shah received his medical degree (D.O.) from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at Hackensack Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey. He served as chief resident during his final year of training. He received his Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in biology from Virginia Tech and his Master's of Science (M.S.) degree in biomedical and veterinary medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Shah enjoys all aspects in dermatology, with a particular focus on psoriasis, inflammatory disorders along with surgical and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Shah believes the most effective treatment plans are determined together with the patient using a holistic approach.

During his free time, he enjoys cooking, staying active, hiking, swimming and spending time with his wife and daughter. 

 

Dr. Nehal Shah

Jameka McElroy, MSPAS, PA-C earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Jameka takes pride in being an advocate for the Physician Assistant (PA) profession, and more importantly, bringing awareness to necessary improvements in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic and professional settings for PAs. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Conference Education Planning Committee and Chief Delegate of House of Delegates for the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
 
Jameka is experienced with diagnosing and treating a variety of hair, skin, and nails conditions. In addition, she offers cosmetic services such as chemical peels, neuromodulator injections (i.e., Botox), Platelet Rich Plasma, and topical treatments for melasma and hyperpigmentation.
 
In her free time, Jameka likes listening to podcasts, weight-lifting, reading, and traveling with friends and family.

A board-certified dermatologist, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, and Utah native, Dr. Trevor Hansen received his medical degree (M.D.) from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine. He then completed his dermatology training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Following residency, Dr. Hansen completed additional subspecialty fellowship training in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs micrographic surgery) at Penn State University. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science (B.S.) from Utah State University.

Dr. Hansen practices a particular focus of cutaneous oncology, with an emphasis on surgical management of skin cancer and treatment of both common and rare tumors. He is trained in advanced reconstructive techniques following skin cancer surgery and enjoys all aspects of procedural and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Hansen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and has authored several peer-reviewed articles published in the medical literature.

In his free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys playing any sport ending in “-ball”, and particularly loves spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife and three children.

As a military spouse she has enjoyed moving around the country, but is excited to be back in Virginia, where she earned a Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Neuroscience from The College of William and Mary.

Spending time to build strong patient relationships and to provide education are her highest priorities. She is certified in non-invasive dermatology procedures, such as lasers, fillers (Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra), neurotoxins (Botox and Dysport), and Kybella.

In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the Washington, D.C. area. She and her husband also enjoy traveling and cooking together and renovating their home in Northern Virginia.

Nima Ghovanlu, born in Milan, Italy was raised in the beauty industry. He is Alexandria Associates in Dermatology’s Licensed Master Aesthetician (LMA). He has worked in the medical aesthetics industry for over a decade and offers experience in skin care and laser treatments to our practice. He offers skin care consultations, designer facials, laser treatments (Coolsculpting, laser hair reduction, intense pulsed/broadband light device, non-ablative lasers), and chemical peels.

Equipped with the latest non-invasive skin treatments, Nima can prescribe an effective home skin care regimen for all skin types. He works closely with patients to ensure they get the best out of their treatments and products. When he is not working, Nima is a musician, and performs in and around the DC metro area. He also enjoys watching local teams such as the Washington Nationals, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
